SlicePilot Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Overview
SlicePilot is a 3D printing slicer app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information We Collect
- App usage data: anonymous or pseudonymous events such as app opens, screen navigation, slicing starts, slicing results, and errors, collected through Firebase Analytics.
- Crash data: crash reports, stack traces, device model, Android version, and app version, collected through Firebase Crashlytics.
- Cloud account data: when you sign in, SlicePilot stores session tokens and basic account information needed to connect to your cloud printer account, such as user ID, nickname, or email.
- Printer and print job data: printer identifiers, selected printer settings, sliced file names, and print job status needed to send and monitor print jobs.
- Model files: STL or 3MF files you choose are processed on your device. If you start a cloud print, the sliced G-code may be uploaded to the printer service.
How We Use Information
- To provide slicing, preview, cloud sign-in, and printing features.
- To improve app stability and performance through crash reports.
- To understand general usage patterns through analytics.
- To communicate print job status and errors.
Sharing and Service Providers
SlicePilot uses third-party services to operate the app:
- Google Firebase Analytics for app usage analytics.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
- Cloud services for cloud sign-in, printer discovery, and print job delivery when you use those features.
Security
Network communication is protected using HTTPS/TLS where supported by the service. Session tokens are stored on your device to keep you signed in. No payment card data is collected by SlicePilot.
Data Retention
Analytics and crash data are retained according to the retention settings of the Google Firebase services used by the app. Cloud session data remains on your device until you sign out or the session expires.
